We are the Windy City Inferno — a professional minor league men’s basketball team based in Chicago, Illinois. We play our home games at Breakthrough FamilyPlex, located at 3219 W. Carroll Avenue, Chicago, IL 60624.
Founded in 2024 and owned by the Taylor Group, we compete in the American Basketball Association (ABA) on Saturdays and Sundays from October through March each season. Our head coach is Frank Lollino, Jr.

To establish the premier professional minor league organization in Chicago basketball, the Windy City Inferno is committed to recruiting resilient and passionate young men dedicated to their craft by applying a first-class program rooted in team success and providing the community with exciting and winning play.

Windy City Inferno Players Excel as All-ABA at Championship Weekend
Windy City Inferno head coach Frank Lollino, Jr. and two Inferno players — First Team All-ABA Rodney Gaston, Jr. (left) and Second Team All-ABA Jarvae Tate (right) traveled down to Atlanta, Georgia over the weekend of April 10-12, 2026 for the 2025-26 ABA Championship Weekend.
Both Gaston and Tate played in the ABA All-Star Game, and Tate wound up winning the 2026 Slam Dunk Contest! His two final dunks are below.
Coach Lollino served as a referee during several 3v3 games that were part of the ABA Championship Weekend festivities.

Frank Lollino Jr. is a survivor on and off the basketball court.
The 54-year-old Chicagoan has faced many challenges in his life as a basketball coach. After losing three coaching jobs and overcoming two major surgeries, he is trying to win in the game of life.

As Head Coach and General Manager of the Windy City Inferno, Coach Lollino Jr. is proving that leadership built on integrity still wins. With more than two decades of experience—from high school programs to college and professional levels—he’s taken his father’s Hall of Fame legacy and turned it into a living blueprint for player development, discipline, and faith.
